Information about eTA for New Zealand

The NZeTA is an electronic travel authorization for visitors holding a passport from the visa waiver countries. It was introduced by the Government of New Zealand to reduce unnecessary time at the immigration offices and make it easier to cross the border.

The NZeTA is valid for 2 years and it allows you to visit the country multiple times for up to 90 consecutive days. The total cost of the NZeTA includes the mandatory IVL (International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy).

In case you are only transiting in New Zealand, you need to get the eTA for New Zealand before starting your trip. Bear in mind you can only transit through Auckland International Airport.
